That's right, I've officially quit in-game. I shall still lurk forums though, after what happened last time I should be coming here daily and not every 3days.
I've given account access of IGN "Hawky" to Indeceseant, however he will never have 100% ownership of said IGN and I'll be sure to dig him an early grave if he were to ever misuse this privilege. He doesn't have ownership of "AngelicHawky" (Yes, Xike, my mage has the EPIC HAT!).
Best of luck to my former family, Magrathea...if you guys still hang about.
As the video suggests, I'm done, and I hope the rest of you will see in time that these generic designs are BS. There was a rant previously on some of these issues posted in community center, flick through thread titles and search for the title with the word "rant" in it.
I came here due to the easy UI and that the game was overhead based, similar to an RTS designed view. The mobbing system was perfect too. The storyline + Quest suck horribly though, and so does the community now. I'm through with having 50 random people scream around town asking for help or a random person speaking to you in their own language "me puedes ayudar?", or flaverraver pertending to be a GM, or the idiots that fall for "free gold/items/nosmall hack programs" that lose their accounts and cry. Oh well, this is the society I've been born into.
If anyone would like to share their creative views on nostale's future, or generic MMORPG concepts in general, be my guest.
*What makes you still want to play nostale regardless of the facts shown in the video?

*If you were to create your own game, what would be the most unique non-generic feature you can think of implementing that will give some of the best gameplay it could offer?

I got used to nostale, pretty much play it cause there is nothing else to do. If u find a good Free MMORPG give me a call

I've always like RPGs but being with people is better cause u can make fun of them. (Ever tried to make fun of a NPC? they give a sht about it)
*If you were to create your own game, what would be the most unique non-generic feature you can think of implementing that will give some of the best gameplay it could offer?
PvP Freatures probably, even some PvP Quests would be fun but probably side-story quests or ppl will complain they can't find a weak person to pvp n complete quest

Save the Princess/World/Town from an evil being that have been sealed for xx years n somehow it got free
*If you were able to create your own game, what storyline and/or theme would you select?
Randomness. Probably the main character will start in a random town and for some random reasons he will start an adventure discovering new places where he can choose to help or not help the ppl for gold, fame, fun, or any kind of stuff or just ignore them

too late for that,indi is already using Hawky as a dirty sock puppet to pump and dump,all the hard earned respect as an IT pro vanished in 1 second by that 1 action,i still like the REAL GM Hawky though :P

cause NosTale DOESNT have that type of grinding,you only really need to do LoD 1 or 2 hours a day at most,you can be high leveled and have a life too! plus LoD has a lot of movement with avoiding DH and whatnot.
most MMORPGs i played forced you to grind in 1 spot for 3~12 hour sessions cause you gathering a party was hella hard and needed to defend from KSers.

yep,i like the comunities in MMOs,NosTale has the best one ive experienced so far,the amount of l33t nerds,script kiddiers,internet tough guys,white knights and racists is extremely low,when the most drama NosTale can generate is pointing fingers at goldiggers and trannies you know you have a good community.

just add varying dificulty levels (easy~lunatic) and massive side quests for achievement hoars,my favorite would be REPEATABLE quests.

something wacky like earthbound or disgaea.
P.S: "skill" based action MMORPGs still requiere grinding,i used to play Lun!a and i had a sieg there,and it was mostly spamming the same mission (2-6,3-6,etc) over and over again for exp and loot,those type of games are also very vulnerable to lag,even the tiniest bit of lag makes them unplayable.

I'd have to say Nostale is a grind fest. You said LOD doesn't require that? Lets face it the only people who can get into LoD are family members and most LOD family's require you to be 60+ before you can join and that requires a considerable amount of grinding before you get there. For players who are just starting out on this game they're face with hours of grinding to get what? A piece of a crappy story and whole new level of grinding. I admit some times you may have to grind but not to the extent where you have to do it for hours on end.

I know that, but the small community has gotten too big and the misleading Filipino ad that redirects to global is bringing too many non-English speakers, first thing they do is talk in their language. As well as poor habits, egos, etc. I'm fed up with it. I'm not being racist, I've met my fair share of intellectual Filipinos and made some good friends, but as for the majority - I'm out.
